My husband is from Algeria (Constantine). I am american, we live in New Orleans, Louisiana. We recently got married, but been together for 5 years. I am clueless when it comes to caring for him. He works hard. I would like to treat him like women do in his country. I would like to do for him like an Algerian wife. I am horrible housekeeper. My mom died when I was young, and I never really learned how. I never seem to be able to keep it all clean before it gets messed up again. I know this irritates him. Any suggestions? I would like to get algerian women email penpal to ask questions to and get guidance from.

I am tired of how american women treat their men and I would like to know what to do to change.

    I appreciate your help.

Well, from my understanding you're supposed to make him a continental breakfast each morning, and a nice med dinner each night, recipes are in the cuisine section.

Also, the house should be spotless, when he gets home make sure dinner is ready and the children are quite. Its very simple really. As him about his day and listen to him. Don't ask too many questions.

I forgot, the most important thing is that you express an interest in his culture. If he is kabyle, speak to him softly in his native language. If he prefers arabic then do it arabic.

On a serious note, it depends on your husband's expectations. But make the place homely for you both, nice cooked meals, a tidy and clean house is the minimum required.
