wow, good show! its a pity young girls refelct themsleves more and more to such modells, thus to created beauties. Although there are some lucky ones who are totally beatiful (compared to the 'ideal' creations) I guess the older girls can think for themselves better as wisedom comes after years

(true beauty is inside/ the soul must be beautiful, then after that, the face etc. And even if a face is not pretty as the fashionideal/ society describes, there is always someone who will find it beautiful
its a matter of tatse)

thanks for the clip. Although this particular advertisement is not shown in new zealand, we do have the dove beauty campaign here, australia and around the pacific. I love the fact that dove is setting itself apart from the more traditional use of model and using "real" women, real curves, real features, all cultures, not a 36" 24" 36" 6' 1" measurement. For a long time it took me to face what I had, I accept what I have and embrace my curves, love myself and my personality, esp* what makes me who I am today. I am not overweight or obese at all, I am quite plain and use to compare myself as a teenager to women that were airbrushed and in ads spread in magazines have ductape holding the "bits" ...lool crazy, but of course we never see that side of fashion, or the anorexia, bulimia, the drugs and alcohol addiction.. Of course for people there will be elements of what makes a person attractive, what makes someone beautiful (skin wise). WE ALL judge, we always have that our inner voice that judges ourselves and others we come in contact with, and sometimes not listening to that voice is a good thing, especially when it involves low self esteem. Dove's choice to not be a follower with western trends and be a leader with real models, the every day women is a great step, lets hope it continues and inspires others to follow suit
