Algerian Weddings

Hi,

I've just came back from Algeria, my step-dad's family are from Algiers, so we went to visit them. This was my fifth visit to Algiers, I really love this country and I think that Algerian people are amazing!! Anyway, my step-dad has two nephews, both told my step-dad that they were 'interested' in me on my first visit - two years ago. My step dad told them that I was too young (was only 17 at the time!). So, on this latest visit - one of my step-dad's nephews asked my step dad for my hand in marriage, which I accepted and my parents agreed with. We are hoping to marry in about a year (I have Uni to concentrate on!).

As we will be marrying in Algeria and I dont have much experience of Algerian weddings or the traditions surrounding them, I was wondering if anybody could tell me any of the traditions or customs that they know of.
