sania, i don't think Ash is all that talented - besides isn't there a rumour going round that she had to have lots of help in obtaining her present looks- i'm not talking about help of the natural kind.

i think in terms of acting skills rani is much better and of course Tabu. In terms of beauty, definately Rani and Bipasha have more to offer than Ash. I think Ash just looks good only in Asian outfits, non Asian outfits don't really do much for her.

LOL - why is it that so many members on here seem to take things so personally. LOL.

Ash looks just awful in those jeans and that black open top. its not upto the model to create the look - its up to the photographer and stylist to make the picture. i still stick to my original point - she looks better in saris etc.

remember lights, make-up and stylist! LOL.

i think india has far better 'natural' models.

i forgot to ask - how has Ash contributed to the welfare of her society? especially the social welfare of children and women in that society (and the fact that she has made a film called provoked does not count at all)?

I didn't took it personal i just worked one single day with her, and since then i saw i was wrong, these people do sacrifice lot of their own ours and private things for others. and i felt sorry to see all people - even those who met her for a second- judged her without knowing her constantly. And of course a day was to short to get to know all about her but she has been kind to me. and i don't regard celebs as any different nor do i treat them better like any other.

what you find awful looks may be the wishes of the fashondesigners, the magazines, the brands, her employer must have given her a task. I see, ruks, you have not done any modelling, and it is not about what you want or need as a model, it is about the look THEY need. and if you still find it awful, you are free to feel so . Just know that millions of other designers/employers/fans/ whoever involved in the fashion and filmindustry does not think so. And if that look is gone, then there will be some other look. But for a decade she kept on going strong. So i don't see the problem.
