    Gifts

I'm going back to Algeria to visit my husband next week inshallah. I would like to take some gifts for his parents and sisters.

Can you give me some ideas on what fragrances and make up brand most women in Algeria like and cannot buy from there?

it would be a great help!

Ahh thats where you have to be careful!! Dont leave anyone out they might get jealous...trust me on this lots of experience taking gifts to Algeria you have to be a politician

Best to buy them all something similar in cost etc not leaving anyone out...so dont splash out and buy perfume just buy them all something each thats not too expensive otherwise you can spend a small fortune.

Just some makeup and maybe a scarf each from H and M would be plenty im sure they would be thrilled with just that

I agree with Mayissa (and thanks leeloo for that link *bookmark*)

I don't know if they do this in Algeria, but in Syria there are perfume shops that'll creepily imitate a fragrance for a zillion times cheaper... so they probably have all the perfumes they want lol.

What we usually do is come back with clothes. There are stores here that sell brand name clothing for super cheap... They might sell the same clothes in Algeria but for much MUCH more, so if you find out their sizes or something you can get them something nice to wear !

or alternatively..electronics, things like usb flash pens are very cheap in the uk (about £6 for 4gb), and in algeria they are about £15-20, so they can't generally afford them... I would have thought brand named clothing is a bit pointless because their fashion is so different from the uk... and although electronics don't seem to be a very girly thing, provided they are at least teenagers, they are useful.
