Fill out a survey: of Muslim Marital Health

This research is being conducted by Aliya Razvi Chapman, a doctoral student at George Mason University, in collaboration with the All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS). ADAMS hopes to use the information gathered from this survey to improve its counseling services, create new services to help Muslims with their marriages, and to inform other Muslim leaders about how Muslims currently feel about their marriages.

If you are interested in participating, please click this link: Survey of Muslim Marital Health

Your answers will help us to understand Muslim marriages and improve marriage-related services for Muslims. This survey should take you between twenty and thirty minutes to complete.

    Thank you!

there are 129 questions in that survey... I got kicked off after about the 3rd due to not being Muslim *sooooo unfair!*

I'd get my husband to do it but he'd probs get kicked off after about the 10th question due to not being married to a Muslim.

And I love surveys so much

perhaps if you were an unmarried non-Muslim... but if you are a Muslim maybe they wouldn't mind coz you are halfway there.

    Salam,

I had a quick look at the questionnaire. I'm far from being an expert but this research is descriptive (at least in its first questions) and the person who asked the questions has already some assumptions which he/she wants to verify. I think the hypothesis could be something like:
    1. In a Muslim family the husband has a higher level of education & a higher income.
    2. A Muslim man always chooses his wife from the same ethnicity.

Of course these are only hypothesis about the hypothesis

Having said that I should add that this research is really a big joke. It's a non-scientific work based on the answers of "unknown people" (who could be Muslim, Christian or Atheists, or kids, etc.). If I m in the jury, I would throw the thesis out of the window and suggest the researcher to be more serious. The scope of the study is interesting but a statistical analysis of non-confirmed data is simply obsolete.
In addition, why are all the questions mandatory?! Many statistical packages deal with missing data by simply dropping the cases, it's not a big deal. On the contrary, it would be interesting to know why people don't answer some sections of the questionnaire.

Ps. Out of subject really, but guys, what this forum where nobody says salam, hi or hello? have I missed something? You all agreed on not saying hellos to each other or what?
