without getting into details . I was taken by a man for 7,800.00 Dollars . Does anyone know where i can call
in Algeria to report this person? I have tried to contact his friends but no one will talk to me. He has changed his number I live in the USA and i thought he was going to marry me, but he used me. This went on for almost 2 1/2 years. any help would be grateful

Have you tried reporting this person to the algerian authorities? the police?. Maybe if you know any english speaking algerians you can try to get hold of a solicitor, take some kind of legal action against this guy even though you don't know where he is.

Sorry my advice is so lousy, I am not algerian nor do I live in Algeria. But these cases of visa-hunters using western women are very common, especially since there is so much corruption in Algeria. Anyone can be a victim.

I just hope you are safe and well where ever you are.

No I don't know many algerians who speak english, . I have contact the F.B.I. in Algeria. I found out that there is an office there, I am thinking of getting my visa to algeria and going there too !!. I have his address and know where he lives , also , where his friends live and work. I am determined to either retrieve my funds back, or make sure this man doesn't do this to another woman. I have learned a huge lesson, I will never trust anyone again. thanks for you words. I read you were thinking of going to algeria someday, IF you do, be wary of the smooth operators. Algerian men are very charming . Not all Algerian men are like this. There is good and bad in all cultures , i know this , nonetheless, but now i understand why all the other Arabic countries have a low esteem of Algerians... I was tricked..It is a hard lesson for me, However, I will be ok... This man will someday face God. and as you know,, What goes around, come around, I am sure he will have his day.. i am sure of this.. I don't know if you are Muslim , but in the Eyes of ALLAH, what he does done is unspeakable. Allah sees everything. I know he will have to pay for what he did..

I've spoken with the authority. . You said you have met with one bad Algerian also, Was it the same situation as mine? You are correct in saying that i should not be affected by one "bad Apple". I still love Algeria and some day want very much to see Oran, Annaba, Constantine. I know these places are so beautiful .

I feel so lost sister . It has taken a very huge toll on me. I finally after weeks of crying have gained some will back. I know in my Heart that ALLAH will give me the wisdom and strength I need to go on. I will !
But what I can't forget are all lies .I know from this experience it will be a long time before i can ever trust anyone again..

I am glad you have made progress with the authorities. I am not gonna lie and say I know what you are going through because I don't , but what I can say is that we learn the biggest lessons sometimes through the hardest ways. I know you must of really loved this guy, but think of it this way at least you found out all the truth now despite everything instead of later which I feel would have been alot of more damaging.

I was about to pm you about my experience with a ''bad apple'' but I couldn't find a 'send a message' bit on your page. If you want to know you can tell me how to pm you. Its not something I would like to share with everyone here.

Right now just concentrate on the fact that you are safe and well, I know you may be seriously hurting but see it as a healing process. Also try to busy yourself with other things it could be anything e.g. spending time with family or work etc. Try not to dwell on it too much when you are alone. I don't know about you but when something really bad has happens to me I feel it worst when I am alone thats when my mind starts acting up and I start over-analysing things. This can lead to a dangerous depression.

Most importantly I know its easier said than done esp coming from me lol but keep a positive mentality always. Also remember that You have Allah, Ibadah can also help heal past pains. We human beings are not perfect but never lose hope in Allah's bountiful mercy. Thats what keeps me going and I am definitely far from perfect believe me ! lol. Just keep intention that you are on a constant journey to self-improvement self-reform.

I still wanna visit Algeria too as well as Morocco. I'm so fascinated with North Africa I keep banging on about it with my mum lol. I am hoping to go to either after I finish my work contract Inshallah. Its been a long time since I've jumped on the plane.

I am glad that you have gained your strength back.
