Hi everyone,

I just wanted to thank you all - okay just some of you for being my friends for over the past few months. You have made some weeks that weren't so easy to deal with very easy to get through and I wanted to say thank you.

I read some of the threads last night, and then again some this morning and I get the strong sense that because of my big mouth I'm blamed for all the hoo haa that's happened over the past few weeks.

I'm saying my goodbyes so that your forum can go back to it's tranquil state it was in when I joined.

Please do not leave. Do not let a few differences of opinion make you feel uncomfortable.

The longer you stay here, you will realise that we are all one big dysfunctional family.

Just about everyone here has disagreements at various times. You are not to blame, so do not put the blame on yourself.

It used to be MADNESS here about two years ago. We had NAK, Commonsense, Alger_le_blanc, Drifting Sands and many others screaming at each other. We were happy enough......and then Khokom and Houda joined.....the VCI made them 'moderators' and then censorship was applied....and the site became 'Taliban-ised' - (a Drifting Sands description!)

People were censored and banned for holding an opinion that disagreed with Khokom.

His excuse for this was.....their opinions were offensive.....offensive to him......because he disagreed with them, but he could not put forward a convincing argument (other than a quotation from the Koran) to support his opinion.

We have valiantly fought back against the oppression of the fundamentalism of Khokhom and Houda. No matter how many times we are banned...we keep coming back....because we will not be SILENCED.....and we were here YEARS before they joined.....

You are so not leaving this forum just because of a few opinions on this forum. You’re one of the active forums on ALGERIA.COM and your input is vital in this section of the forum.

I hear what you’re saying and I do understand, excessive criticism is deadly but you are certainly not to blame for the sour atmosphere on this forum.
