Is it common or easy to divorce in Algeria? Is there any stigma involved? How does society or families treat this situation? How do people react to a husband going off with his girlfriend? Especially if he is muslim and his girlfriend is jewish. How easygoing are women there, would they accept this situation if it was their husband.

Divorce is frowned upon, but the divorce rate in Algeria is quite high, it's a joke that they marry in the summer and are divorced by winter.

im sure no one in the world, not only algeria, would like to hear that a husband is running off with a girlfriend... and im sure the one who will hate it the most is his wife ...

once I asked an algerian about how the divorce(e)s get remarried, and with whom? He replied that most of the time the divorce(e)s usually get remarried with divorce(e)s, and those who have never been married usually won't go for the divorce(e)s, especially, the guys will hardly consider marrying divorcees, unless she is an extreamlly good catch.

So you see it's not easy for all the girls in Algria to find their 'l'homme de la vie'. They have to be at least pretty, (it's very important, I have chated with a lot of algerians on-line, beauty is only second to the viture of keeping the verginity) they only have max 13 years to catch one (16-29), since the men all want to marry younger girls(they can afford it, there are more females in the country).
