Vacations to Algeria
Picture yourself staring out into an expansive sea of sand, the dunes flowing one into the other whilst a massive mountain range looms up on the horizon. Imagine yourself diving into the crystal waters of the Mediterranean, the cool sea waters enveloping your body. Algeria is a land of great diversity, a country with a rich historical, cultural and natural heritage. A vacation in Algeria will truly open up a new world to all those who visit. An Algerian vacation is a truly unique experience, something you will have never experienced before.
Algeria's large urban areas are ideal for those who enjoy the comfort and convenience of city life. From any of Algeria's major cities and towns you will be able to make day trips to beautiful locations along the Mediterranean coast or further inland towards the Sahara desert. You are likely to arrive in Algeria's capital, Algiers, when entering the country. In this impressive city you can visit several museums and monuments as well as engaging in a bout of retail therapy. Make your way to the grand city of Oran. Considered by many to have a more relaxed atmosphere, there is plenty to see and do here. Tipasa is a lovely little village, known for its beautiful beach and fascinating ancient Roman ruins. As you explore Algeria’s many cities, towns and villages, you can become acquainted with a variety of friendly locals and enjoy a truly unique adventure.
Algeria is probably better known for its natural heritage, namely the Sahara Desert. This huge expanse of sand seems to go on forever. Before meeting up with the giant Sahara, you are likely to come across the Atlas mountain range - an amazing sight to see. Look out for areas of mountain that have been eroded to form magnificent landmarks. Explore one of Algeria’s many protected areas, such as the El Kala National Park. Guided tours that lead you through Algeria's natural wonders are essential on an Algerian vacation itinerary.
Sadly, terrorism plagues Algeria and has had a negative impact on tourism in the country. If you do decide to vacation in Algeria it is important to make every effort to keep safe. Remain in secure areas and avoid any situations that seem suspicious. Despite the problems that face the country a vacation in Algeria can still be pleasurable as long as you keep safety a priority.
