Restaurant le Père Gégo à Alger [03:38]
Rue Sfindja, ex-chemin Laperlier, à El- Biar Ouvert il ya quelques semaines à peine, le Père Gégo, une enseigne aux couleurs rouge braisé, prêche une toute nouvelle cuisine : «la bistronomie» ! Le chef, la quarantaine, a fait ses classes à Paris. Un jour, il a décidé de rentrer au bercail pour développer un concept, initié auprès de son maître en toque, Stéphane Gégo. Ce gars a démocratisé la gastronomie française, en la mettant à la portée d'une clientèle à petit budget. «C'est justement ce concept de cuisine, sans chichi ni fioriture, que je veux développer dans mon enseigne !» confie-t-il. Au Père Gégo, ni nappe ni tralala. Même les serveurs sont en tenue cool. Pas de menus posés sur la table. Juste des tableaux d'écoliers sur lesquels se déclinent, les plats rédigés à la craie blanche. «Je cuisine au feeling. Rien n'est figé et chaque jour est une nouvelle fête pour les papilles !» indique ce pro de la «bistronomie». Souris d'agneau confite aux épices douces, foie gras de canard de Landes, au pain d'épice, saumon fumé sur salade, bar de ligne grillé... le menu est des plus alléchants pour environ 1 200 à 1 800 DA.

Российско-Алжирский бизнес-форум [03:47]
В период с 12 по 17 октября 2011 года в столице Алжирской Народной Демократической Республики прошли мероприятия деловой программы Российско-Алжирского бизнес-форума, в рамках которого состоялась Вторая выставка российских товаров и услуг в Алжире. В работе выставки и форума приняло участие более 100 российских и алжирских экономических операторов, которые представили такие отрасли, как общее и специальное машиностроение, проектирование и поставки оборудования, а также продукцию и услуги российских производителей. Представителям нефтегазовой промышленности Алжира была представлена продукция и широкий ассортимент услуг российских предприятий, поставляющих оборудование для бурения, капитального ремонта и обслуживания нефтегазовых месторождений.

Tunisian stew rich in tradition [01:23]
Merely a stone's throw away from the Algerian border is the Tunisian town of Nefta. The large oasis town became a trading hub, with routes spread across the Sahara desert, and over the centuries people of various nationalities and countries contributed to the flow of gastronomic influences. While villagers now reside in proper houses, they still choose to spend the summer season in the oasis, preparing and savoring a local dish called zitouna. Berber women cook the lamb in a stew of tomato sauce, onions, and flavor it with hot peppers and olives -- ingredients which have been derived from the Romans, Turks, Arabs and Pheonicians. Such multicultural influence has distinguished Tunisian cuisine from the rest of its neighbours, and desert gastronomy in particular is deeply rooted in tradition. Ammar Esseghir says his family visits the oasis on a weekly basis and prefers to cook a meal on a bonfire instead of a gas stove. Stews have withstood the effects of time and modern preparation methods, and the Berber people are loyal to their traditions even though Tunisia is a rapidly developing country.
