    ISLAMABAD, January 20, 2011 (APP): Algeria’s ambassador to Pakistan Dr. Ahmed Benflis on Thursday presented a cheque ofor US$ two million to Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi. The Foreign Minister expressed deep appreciation for the kind gesture and termed the contribution as an expression of solidarity and fraternity with the flood victims. The Foreign Minister requested the ambassador to convey deep gratitude to the government and the people of Algeria for this generous contribution to PM’s flood relief fund. The Foreign Minister expressed the hope that the mutual goodwill and emotional bonds would be further enhanced in the trade and investment sectors.

    September 23, 2010 -- Libya delivered 450 tonnes of rice, milk and bottled drinking water to flood-ravaged Pakistan, SANA reported on Wednesday (September 22nd). Speaking at a Tuesday ceremony in Rawat, Libyan Ambassador to Pakistan Ibrahim Al-Abid Mukhtar said, "The people of Libya will always stand by their Pakistani brothers."
