    Salaam,

Would it be possible to allow the embedding of video clips within one's posts, just like Piccolomondo's post here, either by HTML or a new VB tag code for example? It'll make things easier and you wouldn't have to leave A.com every time you watched a video.

    Salaam,
    this is what youtube says:

How do I embed playlists on my website or blog?

To embed a playlist, follow the steps below:
Go to the "Playlists" section of your account (http://www.youtube.com/my_playlists).
Select the playlist you'd like to embed.
Copy the embed code from the upper right corner.
Paste the code into your website or blog.
For more information on embedding, you may want to check out our Sharing YouTube Videos page (http://youtube.com/sharing).

i guess you have to be a member first...

      .
      Thanks Cheba

That's true for playlists but no, you don't need to be a member to share a video. The code is provided on the video page itself. All you do is copy and paste it where you want it to appear. On here though, the facility needs to be activated somehow through html or special vb code tags such as or [media]...[/media] for example. Is that possible? It would be of great help if we could!

        Welcome,
it must be possible. Hmm let me think, because it is not as difficult as it seems.

maybe it is but am not defeated yet

        HTML Code:
        .........
        PHP Code:
        ..........

it is in progress, and it is something i want to know too why didn't i ever tried it?

if this is the link of a timelaps video on youtube
          YouTube - Time Lapse

then this is the code to embed the video in this website:
          <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/UrGcd6PN7EE"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/UrGcd6PN7EE" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

          sooo.... how to do that?

          let me try some wraps:

          HTML Code:
          <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/UrGcd6PN7EE"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/UrGcd6PN7EE" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
          no its not html /html

then what....ummmm let me try [code ].... [/ code]

          Code:
          <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/UrGcd6PN7EE"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/UrGcd6PN7EE" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
          thats not it either
          <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/UrGcd6PN7EE"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/UrGcd6PN7EE" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

Yes, Piccolomondo might be able to help (She? I thought Piccolomondo is a he! ) but I have a feeling it's a moderator privilege being able to switch on html

Haha!!! Maybe you need to ask her about more than just the videos... .

Moderator priveledge? Um... I dunno... oh wait - I see something!!

no... never mind... it's just the same thing cheba posted. No, i don't think it's something a moderator can only do... just ask her, bro...

Yes, I'm sure it is Cheba

If you noticed, down the very bottom of sections "Computer/Internet" and "Women's Corner" you can see "html code is on"; whereas you'll find that "html code is off" in all the other sections. This must be the reason why the video code works only in those two aforementioned sections and it also explains this fancy post by Sis Houda, right Sis?

So how do we switch html on in other sections? moderators or admin can surely
